About us

This is a second preview version of Sofanatics - an amazing Social TV service for sports fans.

Sofanatics was born from a private need to share emotions while watching sports on TV. "It's a bit odd to cheer alone", the founders noted.

Sofanatics was launched on February 17th 2010 during the Vancouver Winter Olympics. First time in history the hockey fans were able to connect via video chat to cheer for their teams.

A new version was launched for the 2010 Ice Hockey World Championships. Sofanatics was now connected tightly to Facebook to make it easy for our users to connect with their friends.

When the FIFA World Cup 2010 started in June we launched once again a more developed version of the service. With our upgraded Fan Battle we wanted to make the experience better for users who don't use the video chat. At the same time we decided to keep our video chats open 24/7.

Our first media partner has been YLE the Finnish Broadcasting Company.
