How does Sofanatics work?
Sofanatics is a social TV service for sports fans.
In the service the users communicate through video chat while watching sports on TV. We've also added some extra
features - like the Fan Battle - to make the user experience richer. More features are added constantly.
Users can invite their friends to Sofanatics via Facebook, Twitter, IM-services or email.
When can I use Sofanatics?
To celebrate the FIFA World Cup we decided to leave the videochats open also between the matches. That way our users can test almost all the features of the service even if there is no matches live.
Why aren't the rooms open 24/7?
Because of the bandwindth costs we are able to keep the rooms open only during the events. In the future this may
change.
What are the system requirements?
You can use Sofanatics with a modern PC or Mac. Even though the service can be used without a webcam, we recommend
using Sofanatics with a webcam attached to your computer.
The service has been tested with the most common browsers. We recommend upgrading to the latest version of your
browser.
Normal broadband connection works fine with Sofanatics.
There is a delay effect in the sound. What can I do?
We are working hard to make the sound quality better in the rooms.
The easiest way to stop delay is to use headphones especially if there are more than two users in a room.
Sofanatics connects to my Facebook account. Why?
With Facebook Connect feature our users can find their Facebook friends on Sofanatics. They can also send messages to
Facebook. At the moment Sofanatics cannot be used without logging in with Facebook.
It is extremely important for us to respect the privacy of our users. Connecting Sofanatics tightly with Facebook we
are able to provide better user experience for our users but we will never jeopardize our users' privacy.
What does preview status mean?
Sofanatics was launched 17.2.2010 and there is a load of development work ahead. We welcome all the help and
feedback from our first users!
